6th Grade students at Athens College Elementary School became young journalists and had the honor of interviewing Dr. Theodora Petanidou, expert in biogeography and ecology.

They explored the crucial role of wild bees, the threats they face—especially due to the climate crisis—and how to protect them in practical, sustainable ways.

The students were inspired by Dr. Petanidou’s insights and particularly engaged with the LIFE 4 POLLINATORS initiative, which promotes the conservation of pollinators and insect-friendly plants.
